I find myself awake at night,

But not at all by candlelight.

The bright is so I cannot see,

Piercing as it should not be.

Shadows cast the page below,

Black and grey amidst the glow.

Ceasing hand to paper by

Distracting so across thine eye.

Darkness waivers through the light,

So here I sit awake at night,

Staring at the Sun.
